Jeske, Martins

General Mārtiņš JESKE (12 Nov 1883 - 21 Nov 1941)
Fought as a Captain in the French Army on the Western Front in World War I and then as Regiment commander in the White Russian forces, before returning to Latvia and joining its Army as Lieutenant-Colonel in November 1920. Arrested and deported by the Russians in 1941, he died later that same year in a Soviet prison camp.
